Harry and Sallie Thompson started Piggy's Ice Cream Parlor in 1979. They ran the shop from May to November with their three sons: Todd, Michael, and Jeff. Piggy's sold ice cream and antiques. In 1992, they decided to expand and build a restaurant on site. The restaurant opened in May of 1993, four months after Harry died suddenly from a heart attack. Sallie and the boys decided to name the restaurant after him. Today Harry's Grill and Piggy's Ice Cream Parlor are open year round. The place is a local favorite serving hamburgers, hot dogs, barbeque and more at reasonable prices. The ice cream parlor is also open year round and is known for its thick shakes and fantastic banana splits. Sallie & Harry
